Senior Director, R&D Controller (FP&A)

Lead the global R&D FP&A function, translating scientific strategy into a robust long-range financial plan and managing budgeting, forecasting, and monthly reporting for all R&D programs. Serve as the primary financial partner to the Chief Medical Officer and R&D leadership, providing strategic counsel on investments, resource allocation, and portfolio prioritization. Build, mentor, and manage a global Controlling team, establishing standardized processes, systems, and KPIs to drive efficiency and comparability across sites. Oversee cost management, headcount planning, project cost tracking, and consolidation of global R&D finances, with clear, executive-facing reporting. Lead portfolio analyses, feasibility studies, and 5-year planning to support strategic decision-making and milestone-driven investments. Hybrid work arrangement with 25% travel (up to 50% during ramp-up) in a fast-paced global biopharma environment; hands-on leadership with limited supervision.
