Water Construction and Maintenance Superintendent (7134)

Plans and directs the operations of water distribution construction and maintenance, overseeing main pipeline and service work and related appurtenances. Directs field crews and supervises second-level supervisors to ensure timely completion, quality, and safety. Manages the installation, maintenance, and replacement of mains, domestic and fire services, meters, valves, fittings, and other components. Oversees in-city distribution reservoirs and water storage facilities and coordinates emergency response and preventive maintenance of fire suppression assets. Sets priorities for projects, establishes standards, and ensures regulatory compliance across all activities. Plans training, hires and evaluates staff, and supports safety, efficiency, and professional growth for operations across auxiliary fire fighting, groundwater, and potable water systems.
