Medical Practice Assistant

Provide medical assistant support in ambulatory settings under physician and nurse supervision. Greet patients using AIDET, ensure a positive service experience, and communicate delays or changes. Perform clinical tasks including vitals, EKGs, injections, venipuncture, specimen handling, and vaccines when applicable. Document thoroughly in the EMR (rooming, vitals, meds, history) and process orders, referrals, and authorizations. Support patient flow by scheduling follow-ups and conducting outreach calls or MyChart communications. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, maintain regulatory compliance, and adapt to varying patient volumes.
