Nurse Extern - Student Nurse Opportunity

Delivers high-quality, patient-centered care under RN supervision, assisting with ADLs, monitoring vital signs, mobility support, and ensuring comfort and hygiene. Performs basic nursing tasks such as wound care, catheter care, specimen collection, and other procedures as competency grows. Documents care accurately and communicates timely updates with the nursing team to keep patient care seamless and coordinated. Supports patients and families in understanding care plans and recovery, while promoting health and safety. Maintains clean, safe patient areas by following infection prevention practices, handling equipment, and organizing the care environment. Engages in ongoing learning, collaborates with a preceptor to develop a personal career plan, maintains active nursing program enrollment, and meets prerequisites (Fundamentals of Nursing, BLS within 30 days, and at least 24 productive hours per month).
