PCT Patent Analyst (Contract) - Chemistry/Biotech

We are seeking a PCT Patent Analyst (Contract) with a background in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Biotechnology to perform comprehensive patent searches and craft patentability opinions. As an independent contractor, you will conduct thorough prior art searches and prepare a complete search history and a written opinion on patentability. You will manage defined projects with due dates, ensuring high‑quality deliverables and timely communication. Proficiency with patent databases (Orbit, PatBase, PatSeer, Google Scholar) and a strong search methodology are essential. A Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, or related field, 1+ year of patent or IP experience, and the ability to pass USPTO background checks and obtain Public Trust clearance are required. This remote, flexible role emphasizes self-discipline, time management, and staying current on search best practices and ethics.
