General Ledger Accountant
Lead complex general ledger activities, including allocations, amortization, and non-routine journal entries requiring professional judgment. Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close, with balance sheet reconciliations and resolution of intricate reconciling items. Act as a control owner, ensuring internal controls, audit readiness, and grant compliance; identify gaps and implement improvements. Provide financial analysis and guidance to program and operations leaders while translating results into actionable insights. Collaborate with finance and non-finance staff; train and mentor junior accountants on policy, classification, and best practices. Serve as a subject-matter expert for financial systems, supporting enhancements, testing, and reporting.
