Accountant IV
The Accountant IV performs professional accounting work within Financial Reporting, recording, analyzing, and reporting financial data in accordance with GAAP and governing guidelines. Manages accounts in a major business area, including data maintenance, submission, reconciliation, and periodic reviews. Ensures all transactions comply with GAAP, federal and state requirements, NACUBO guidelines, and institutional policies. Researches highly complex issues, recommends process improvements, and leads special projects and cross-functional coordination. Trains new staff, serves as lead or specialist, and reviews departmental cash handling practices, deposits, and discrepancies. Requires a Bachelor's or Master's in Accounting, at least five years of relevant experience; CPA or CPA candidacy preferred; background checks apply.
